Joseph Andrew Eilerman, Sr., aged 74, of Ft. Mitchell, KY passed away on November 17, 2024, at St Elizabeth Medical Center after a 2 year battle with cancer. He was born on August 29, 1950, to the late Mary Elizabeth and Paul Eilerman. Joe was also preceded in death by his sister, Anne Eilerman.
Joe attended St. James Grade School and graduated from Covington Catholic High School before pursuing his passion for art at Gephardt Art School. He enjoyed a distinguished career as an Art Director/Production Manager at several companies for 36 years and after retirement worked part-time at Patriots Signage. In his spare time, he was an usher for the Cincinnati Reds, Bengals, and Royals for over three decades.
A devout and active member of Blessed Sacrament Church for 48 years, Joe's faith was a cornerstone of his life. He was a kind and generous soul, always ready to lend a helping hand and known for his ever-present smile. Joe freely gave of his time and artistic talent to any family, friend or organization that needed his professional skills.
Joe loved to travel and enjoyed planning the trip almost as much as he enjoyed the actual vacation. He never knew a stranger and no matter where he traveled in the world he left making a whole new set of treasured friends. Joe's role as grandfather was his favorite and he really enjoyed spoiling and spending time with his granddaughters. He also served on the Board of Be Concerned, further showcasing his commitment to community service.
Joe leaves behind his loving wife of 49 years, Donna Stamm Eilerman, and his treasured children: Andy (Amanda) Eilerman, Michael Eilerman, Patty (John) Nguyen, and Becky (David) Howard, along with his cherished granddaughters, Avery, Elizabeth, Hailey, and a baby girl expected in late March. He is also survived by his siblings Tony (Diane) Eilerman, Mary Jane (Steve) Kottmyer, John (Kathy) Eilerman, Carolyn (Jeff) Chapman, and Jerry (Mary) Eilerman.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 8:00-10:00 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at St. John's Cemetery, with a reception to follow at Blessed Sacrament undercroft.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St Elizabeth Foundation Cancer Care Center, 1 Medical Village Dr., Edgewood, KY 41017, or the Notre Dame Uganda Mission,1601 Dixie Highway, Park Hills, KY 41011. Joe's legacy of kindness, generosity, and community involvement will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
