Judith Arlene Drees (nee Schneider), 84 years of age passed away Friday January 31, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood with her loving family by her side. She was the loving wife of the late John H. Drees (2022). Loving mother of Jodie Ganote (Jeff), Carrie Trusty (Blair), and the late John A. Drees (Amy). Loving grandma of Clay Trusty, Andrew Drees, Jonah Drees, and Zoey Ganote. Judy attended Saint Ben's Commercial School and graduated valedictorian of her class. She worked as a secretary at U.S. Trade & World News in Washington, D.C. and then came home to work at Western & Southern Life Insurance. She, like many young Catholics at the time was an active participant in a theater program called The Guild. She met her husband, Jack there and became a devoted homemaker and mother in 1964. She was extremely active in the Parent Teacher Association and was an amazing mother for all of her children. Later in life, her daughter's dear friend became like a third daughter to her, Veronica Kunkel. Judy was a talented cook and baker. She was also a very ardent gardener for many years. She recently won recognition for the prettiest yard from the Peaselburg Community Board. Judy's death is a terrible shock and loss to her daughters because it was so unexpected, but she is certainly at peace in heaven with her Beloved Son, John and her Dear Husband, Jack. There will be a graveside service at 10:00 am Saturday, February 8th at Mother of God Cemetery.
