Karen M. Auchter, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023 at the age of 81 years old. Karen was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Auchter. Karen and John were married for 55 wonderful years. Those years were filled with adventure, from raising 7 children, to traveling and experiencing many different types of food cuisine. She always wanted to try new foods, especially after watching her beloved “Triple-D”. Unfortunately, she was wasn’t able to find a restaurant that would serve her "Pad Thai without noodles" but her family plans to carry on the search. Karen was an enthusiastic storyteller and a warm hugger who lived generously and loved her family wholeheartedly. She had no shortage of love for her always growing family, her kids and also all her bonus kids... grandchildren, great grandchildren and anyone that came into her home. Her genuine love, that flowed from a knowledge of the love God had for her, will be a part of us always. Karen was very happy and secure in who she was as a person and was never afraid to speak her mind. Her love of reading made her very curious about the world and interested in many things which often turned into “fun” ideas. She loved competitive tennis, both playing when she was younger and watching any tournament she could. In keeping with her competitive nature, she was always up for a card game and would very likely beat you handily. She is survived by her children, Catherine (Mike) Langlois, Richard Auchter, Michael (Normy) Auchter, Peter Auchter, Jennifer (Curtis) Jett, Carolyn Livermore, and Maureen Auchter. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A private memorial will be held this summer
