Kathleen B. (Lamphier) Johanneman, 83 of Latonia, Kentucky passed away in the care of St. Elizabeth Hospice surrounded by her family on April 13, 2025. Kathy was born three months prematurely on October 29, 1941 in Schenectady, New York to Charles and Francis Lamphier on their wedding anniversary and weighed only 3 lbs. 1 oz. After World War II, the Lamphier family moved from New York to Ohio. Eventually landing in St. Martin, Ohio where Charles and Francis bought an old rural home and fixed it up into an inn to host the families of the local girls boarding school. After she graduated St. Ursuline Academy, she moved to Western Hills and attended Gebhardt Art School, where she met her husband, Richard Johanneman. Kathy worked for Chubb Insurance for 25 years. After she retired with Chubb she helped Richard with his business, Arrow Ortho Service. Together they built a life around classical music, art, nature, and family. They were patrons of Music Hall, and sang in the May Festival Choir for about 10 years. They were avid nature lovers, enjoying bird watching, and hiking. They spent memorable time over the years at a beloved property in Indiana, where they were able to watch the seasons of change go by in the quiet serenity of the wilderness. Over the years, they took lots of trips that included their children, grandchildren, and friends. Often road trips that took them to places that would inspire awe, lots of photographs for Grandma to bring back to show and tell, and stories for deep belly laughs.

Kathy was a member of Holy Cross Church in Latonia. She loved time at any museum, being creative, long neighborhood walks where she socialized with her beloved community, spending time with her family, and checking her daily horoscope- after the funnies, of course.

Kathy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Johanneman. Parents, Charles and Francis Lamphier, siblings: Bobby Lamphier (Sharon), Carol (Cookie) Lamphier, and Susan Smith (Randy, deceased). She is survived by her children: Lisa Ogle (Brian), Matthew Johanneman (Rhonda), and Sarah Hall (John). Siblings: Mary Pollock (Judd, deceased) Dennis Lamphier (Bev). Sister-in-laws: Jane Appelman (Bob, deceased), Joyce Evans, Debbie Flerlage (Dennis) and Char Fieger (Tom Johannemann and Chris Fieger deceased).
