Lois Jean Niederschmidt daughter of Norma & Louis Lux and granddaughter of Rose & Spoody Vetter, devout wife and loving mother and sister, at the age of 86, passed away on Sunday morning , January 23, 2022.
She fell in love with John “Jack” Niederschmidt her belated husband with whom she raised a family; Eric, Jay, Julie and Jan in Edgewood, KY; living there for 59 years. Painting and art were her way for most of her life, using oils, watercolors and mix media while participating in local art shows such as the Duveneck; she educated her children in colors, media types and accomplished artists.
In later years, she devoted much time to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; emphasizing family meals and being the caregiver of “The Little Things in Life” for her family such as cards and gifts for birthdays and occasions, encouraging all of her offspring to grow in ability and understanding.
She will be sorely missed by those who live on with the loving memory of her. Her children John Eric Niederschmidt (Cindy), James Louis Niederschmidt (Lara Kawal), Julie Ann Puryear (Douglas) and Mary Jan Steele (Nick Kamenelis), brother David Louis Lux , grandchildren Kristina, Amy, Mathew, Courtney, John and Alex, great grandchildren, Riley, Henry, Megan, Caden, Lily, Zoey, Ella, Julian and Luke. Lois is preceded in death by her loving husband, John J Niederschmidt and her parent Norma and Louis Lux.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Middendorf Funeral Home (3312 Madison Pk. Fort Wright, KY 41017) from 12:00 PM until Memorial Services to 1:00 PM.
