Louise H. Weisner

September 11, 1937 — August 30, 2024

Louise “Leesa” Wiesner, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, educator, artist, and adventurer, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a life brimming with love, creativity, and boundless passion. A Master Scuba Diver Instructor, Leesa certified thousands of divers, sharing the beauty and mystery of the underwater world with people from all walks of life. Her adventures took her to the far corners of the globe, diving in some of the most stunning marine environments. In addition to her love of diving, Leesa was a talented artist and dedicated art teacher. She inspired countless students to express themselves through art, sharing her passion for creativity and beauty. She was also deeply committed to animal conservation, volunteering much of her time at the Newport Aquarium and the Cincinnati Zoo. Her love for animals, especially cats, was a defining aspect of her life, and she devoted herself to the care and protection of all creatures, big and small. Leesa was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Claude Wiesner, and her brother, Mike Strong. She is survived by her loving sons, Claude and Paul Wiesner, her daughter-in-law Christine Wiesner, her adored granddaughters Alexandra, Samantha, Sara, and Alana Wiesner, her dear brother Ed Strong, and Leesa’s friend, Ken Bailey. Leesa’s adventurous spirit, artistic talent, compassion for animals, and deep love for her family will be missed by all who knew her. Her legacy will continue to shine through the lives she touched and the memories she created. A celebration of Leesa’s life will be held at the White House in Edgewood Kentucky on November 3rd at 3-7 pm. The family kindly requests donations be made to the Newport Aquarium, the Cincinnati Zoo, or a local animal rescue in her memory.
