Mary Ann Schuh (née Roth), age 89, of Park Hills, KY, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2023, surrounded by her family. Mary Ann was born to Joseph and Frances Roth on December 17, 1933 in New Albany, IN. A devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother, Mary Ann’s greatest joy in life was caring for her family. She will always be remembered for her competitive spirit, kind heart, and ever present smile that made everyone feel welcomed and loved. Mary Ann was an accomplished cook, seamstress, quilter, tennis and bridge player. She was a long-time volunteer at Catholic Charities and a great supporter of the pro-life movement and any activity that her children and grandchildren were engaged in. Mary Ann attended the University of Louisville and graduated with a degree in dental hygiene. While there, she met her future husband, Dr. Earl Schuh, whom she married in 1956. Together they welcomed ten children, five boys and five girls, and spent most of their married life in Park Hills, KY, as members of St. Agnes parish. Mary Ann had a deep faith and a special devotion to the Blessed Mother, which she passed on to her children. Mary Ann is survived by her loving husband, Earl, of 66 years, and her ten children: Dave (Toni), Beth Dempsey (Mike), Tom (Maria), Peggy Hayes (Michael), Dan, Mike, Susan Leonardi (Rich), Maureen Eckert (John), Tim (Kim), and Theresa Finlay (Kevin). She was the devoted grandmother to forty-four grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren and a dear sister to Dan (Sally), Mark (Beth) and John (Barb) Roth, Therese (Teecy) Bower-Hibdon and Jane Roth and sister-in-law to Dick (Blanche) Schuh. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mary Ann is preceded in death by her brothers Joe and Jim Roth. A visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 PM on Friday, June 9th at St. Agnes Church, 1680 Dixie Highway , Park Hills, KY 41011. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 10th at St. Agnes Church at 10:00 AM followed by a burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, KY.
