Robert Lee Bornhorn Jr. 83 years of age passed away peacefully at his residence Thursday December 1, 2022, after a courageous 13-month battle with glioblastoma. Bob was born on June 5 th , 1939, in Dayton, Kentucky to the late Robert and Evelyn (Smith) Bornhorn. Bob is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 54 years, Barbara (Garrow) Bornhorn and their children, Brian (Bridget Bultman) Bornhorn and Susan (Matthew) Meier. Bob also leaves behind 7 grandchildren, Bryce, Brayden, Ben, Jack, Robert (Bobby), Madison, Cooper along with his three siblings, Carolyn (Gary) Cox, Jack (Sharon) Bornhorn, Jean (Mike) Brinker. Bob graduated Holy Cross High School, served in the U.S. Navy, retired from the Post Office as a letter carrier and is a member of the Scott High School Hall of Fame. Bob enjoyed bowling in his younger years, betting the horses, playing cards with family and friends, trips to the casino, and was an avid golfer. Bob’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren playing games, fishing, teaching them how to bet on the ponies and attending every sporting event he could. Bob was always happy, smiling, and telling jokes to get a laugh out of anyone he met. Family burial is at St. John Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell. ‘Celebration of Life’ to be held at the Edgewood Senior Center 550 Freedom Park Dr. Edgewood, KY on Wednesday December 7th, 2022, 2:00-5:00pm. Middendorf Funeral Home in Ft. Wright are handling the arrangements.
